1 A Milestone for me on Wed Apr 15, 2009 5:22 pm

Hi there-
I am new to this forum thing and hope this is the place to post this Very Happy

May 5th will be my year anniversary for the surgery. I have lost around 105
pounds and feel amazing. It was the best decision I ever made for myself.

The milestone that I want to share with everyone is- Easter Sunday my husband
and I hiked up to Whiskey Town Falls Very Happy It is about 3.5 miles round trip..
Going up I do have to say I almost gave up. It is very steep and grueling. But
I made it. I didn't give up, I walked through the pain. It was amazing, if you
have never done this I have to say it was worth it. The falls are beautiful, but
the beauty of it all is the accomplishment I made. A year ago, I never would
have made it even half way, and to say I made it all the way just thrills me flower

If anyone else has a milestone that they would like to share. I would love to
hear them.

I hope everyone has a great day

Awesome on hiking the falls!!!! I have done it and it is amazing!
And I also know what you mean about how a year ago I could never
have done or even tried it! I have lost about 105 pounds as well
and I don't regret having the surgery at all. It has changed my
life and outlook on things so much. Now it's just a matter of
realizing what I now can do that I never thought I could!
