Hello everyone:

I am very new to this forum. I currently have had my psych, and nutriental evoluations. I am very nervous to hear from Dr. Stone's office. I currently need to lose 70lbs. However between high blood pressure, thyroid, and also Rhemotoid Arthitic and medications for all, I am in much pain. My knees, lower back, and shoulders. Just wondering if waiting to hear back from Dr. Stone's office is normal to have to wait maybe a week for my first appointment to be set up with Dr. Stone?? I know I know I'm being slightly impatient.(LOL) I currently go to the gym 3-5 times a week. cardio and free weights. No weight loss. I have done weight watcher like a billion times, so I know how to journal. I am thankful that Dr. Stone's office staff have been so nice to help me get right in for the evoluations. Off work for the summer and would like to have this done soon. A friend mentioned to me, when I first started the process, that more than likely my surgery would take place in maybe December. Shawna has been on top of this process for me. Thanks Shawna. Not sure if she even reads this. I gave her my dilema and she gave me a tentative date that the surgery would need to be done to return to work on time.
It will be interesting to see what people on this forum will write.

Good luck to all of you with pre and post surgery. We all have similar reason to have this done.

Bestmom,

I am waiting for my upcoming surgery which is scheduled for July 14th. Very Happy I started the entire process in May so my process didn't take long at all. I am having my surgery in Chico because SRC doesn't take my insurance. I am starting my 10-day liquid diet on Saturday. I wish you good luck in the process and hope your surgery will be scheduled soon so you can be pain free! This forum is wonderful and so is the support group! Cool

If it makes any difference, the time for me from when I entered the program until I got surgery was about 10 months.

Although the process has changed a little since before I got into the program, it's done in a specific way. You have to be patient and work on each "action item" as you are given the item. Trust me.. in the long run, that's what really helped me (still does).

Take the time now to retrain yourself.
