Just something I wanted to share with the few of us here.

Assuming everything goes as planned, I'll be going under the knife (so to speak) on thursday March 26, 2009. I had planned on getting LASIK surgery to correct my vision, but it appears I will need to get PRK surgery instead. Similar process, same results, just a longer healing period.

So after Thursday, not sure if I will be able to see the screen for a few weeks to reply and help with stuff.

If it's something really important, Contact Joann. She should be able to get ahold of me or Heather.

affraid

thank you!

I'm not doing too bad so far. surgery went awesome and all.
My eyes are tired, but I can see about like I did with contacts, when the contact was at the end of the day. So it's good, but not perfect. that's how it's supposed to be at this point.
from what the doctor said, it'll go from better from here on out until it's fully healed.

Healing process is slow.
I can sorta see if I use some artifial tears. When I do use the moisture drops, I'm can see freakin awesome. It's like going from standard definition to high definition (HD), however, it goes away quickly. It's only been about 10 days, so gotta just wait.

interesting to me though... my gastric surgery (Roux-En-Y) wasn't half this bad. Within a day I was up walking (aren't we all?), but then within a week I was doing alot of walking and all.

Loss of vision sucks. it's better, but it's not what it needs to be. (still grounded from driving and riding my bike)

so we're getting there I guess.......

Well I'm back at work now.
Vision is still a little off, but it's healing and getting better each day.
Doc said it could be up to 6 months before everything totally levels out. Each day is different and each blink is as well. Makes for a fun day =)

On the good side of that, it's taken my mind off snacking some =)
